kingston — the wolfe islander iv is to return to service early next week.
the ontario ministry of transportation announced friday that the ferry would begin carrying passengers again on tuesday on an 80-minute roundtrip schedule.
the wolfe islander iv has been out of service since early december following a collision. it returned to the kingston area last week and has been undergoing crew training and certification.
on the long weekend, the mto is to provide a shuttle bus between dawson point and marysville to accommodate walk-on passengers.
the shuttle bus is to operate between 8:10 a.m. and 19:30 p.m., leaving marysville 10 minutes after the hour and from dawson point dock at half past the hour.
