smash-and-grab robbery at burlington mall

the new year is proving to be a busy one for police hunting smash-and-grab robbers.
halton regional police are looking for several suspects after a smash and grab at mapleview shopping centre in burlington on saturday afternoon at 4 p.m.
several masked bandits targeted the charm diamond centre store at the mall in the fairview st.-queen elizabeth way mall.
there were no injuries and no suspect descriptions.
it is unclear how much merchandise was stolen.
and cops in halton are not alone.
on dec. 30,  police were called to two smash-and-grab store robberies within minutes of each other in toronto.
at 8:43 p.m., police were called to a robbery at a jewelry store at fairview mall, in the sheppard ave. and hwy. 404 area.
five masked suspects smashed the front glass door of a jewelry store with hammers, smashing display cases and stealing items for sale.

police were able to locate three teenage suspects and are looking for two others.
also on dec. 30, at 8:47 p.m., police were called to a robbery in north york at a retail store in the eglinton ave. w.-venn cres. area.
police say three suspects were seen with hammers and they fled in a vehicle.
all were wearing black masks and hoodies. it is unclear if the thieves got away with merchandise and there were no injuries.
