two men barrie-area men face charges after a mississauga man was found bound by his hands and feet.
peel regional police said officers received a call last saturday at about 8 p.m. for a disturbance in the blackwood mews-golden locust dr. area of mississauga.
when officers arrived, a 27-year-old man from mississauga was found bound by his hands and feet. the victim was taken to a local hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
investigators located suspects near the scene.
davoinie williams-senior, 33, and delton williams-senior, 31 — both of innisfil — have been charged with uttering threats to cause death, kidnapping, extortion, aggravated assaulting, assault with a weapon, theft over $5,000 and theft under $5,000.
further investigation revealed that the victim and suspects knew each other and that the incident was targeted.
the investigation is ongoing.
toronto man faces sex assault charges
a 29-year-old man faces a slew of charges, including sexual assault, following an incident in the east end in december.
toronto police said officers were called on friday, dec. 8 for a sexual assault in the danforth ave.-main st. area.
it’s alleged that the victim and man met at a bar and then went back to her residence, at which time the man allegedly sexually assaulted her.

on monday, terry mcknight was charged with sexual assault with a weapon, aggravated sexual assault, fail to comply release order, assault, assault cause bodily harm, intimidate justice participant, threaten death, and fail to comply release order.

mississauga man charged with assault stemming from north york demonstration
a 37-year-old mississauga man is accused of assaulting a woman with a weapon during a demonstration in the bathurst st.-sheppard ave. w. area on sunday.
toronto police said officers attended the demonstration, where it’s alleged a man approached the opposing group of demonstrators and assaulted a women using a weapon.
he was placed under arrest. the victim did not suffer any injuries.

fraud charges for richmond hill man
a 31-year-old richmond hill man has been charged with fraud after a scammer used emails to trick victims to hand over cash.
york regional police said an investigation began on jan. 29 after two victims reported they received unsolicited emails stating they owed money to businesses.
through these emails, police alleged, a scammer was able to gain access to their computers and make it appear as though they were accidentally credited $45,000 to their bank account.

police said victims were told to they needed to pay back the money in cash to avoid being taxed. he would then attend the victims’ residences to pick up the cash payment.
on feb. 20, investigators arrested a suspect. a search warrant was executed at a richmond hill residence and a large quantity of cash was recovered.
xiao su was charged with two counts of fraud over $5,000 and two counts of possession of property obtained by crime.
police released images of the suspect’s distinctive clothing, encouraging anyone who believes they may be a victim to contact police.
