a third man has now been charged in the deadly shooting of a 16-year-old toronto teen last month in etobicoke.
toronto police responded on feb. 4 at about 5:30 p.m. to a call for a shooting at an apartment building in the east mall-rathburn rd. area.
officers arrived at the scene and found two male victims. they were taken to hospital where one of the males — isaiah fogah — died.
the other male, a 19-year-old whose identity has not been released, sustained serious injuries.
last saturday, investigators announced the arrests of elliut xavier yera, 18, of toronto, and shamone pompey-thomas, 20, of toronto. both were charged with second-degree murder, attempted murder, unauthorized possession of a firearm and possession of a loaded prohibited or restricted weapon.
police on tuesday arrested a third person. taven tinashe cassoma, 18, of toronto, has been charged with second-degree murder, unauthorized possession of a firearm and possession of a loaded prohibited or restricted firearm.
it was the city’s second homicide of the year.
