a man has been charged with shooting at a surrey business last year.

the exterior of the building wasdamaged. no injuries were reported.
the surrey police service investigated the shooting, then transferred the case to the b.c. extortion task force.
singh was arrested friday in calgary and appeared in alberta court. he remains in custody pending a bail hearing.
rcmp chief supt. duncan pound said the arrest was the result of a partnership between the task force and other policing agencies in canada. “crime doesn’t recognize provincial borders, and our response can’t either,” he said in a statement on monday.
