woody harrelson has eviscerated dr. anthony fauci, accusing the white house’s former top doc of doing “extraordinarily evil s***.”
on saturday’s episode of the joe rogan experience, the now you see me star called out fauci for his handling of the covid-19 outbreak and his push of azidothymidine (azt) during the aids crisis in the ‘80s.
“he started with the azt thing and, you know, azt was known to be a highly toxic, really ineffective drug, and of course, that was the one they picked,” harrelson told rogan.
“and so, they started using that again, and i don’t know how many people got killed,” he continued. “that killed friends of mine,” he said.
the cheers alum called azt “very toxic” and “they finally had to yank it.”
harrelson added: “and now they use different chemical cocktails, but like, fauci did some extraordinarily evil s***, and he knows what he did.”
fauci, who also served as director of the national institute of allergy and infectious diseases (niaid) until he retired in 2022, has been slammed over the years, most recently over vaccine, distancing and masking mandates and closing down schools during the pandemic.
last month, just hours before he left office, president joe biden pardoned fauci from potential future prosecution by the incoming second trump administration.

during the covid pandemic, when fauci served as one of the lead members of the white house coronavirus task force during trump’s first stint in office, the president and fauci frequently butted heads with trump often contradicting fauci’s advice.
once inaugurated for the second time, trump pulled fauci’s taxpayer-funded security detail.

rogan noted to harrelson that fauci could still be in trouble with the law.
“these states can still sue him,” he said.
“there’s a lot of issues with being pardoned that i don’t think biden took into consideration, or fauci took into consideration either,” he continued. “i think he just wanted anything to protect him because he knew it was coming.”
rogan added: “it’s just a bummer that someone had that kind of power for so long and was such a f***ing monster.”
